The Sony building is badass, I didn't check out the Toshiba building but it happened to be in the picture. I suddenly want to spend 5,000,000¥ on new AV equipment.

Christmas means buy stuff

They don't really celebrate Christmas here, but New Years is huge. In any case, they decorate the stores so people come in and buy stuff. The butcher shop below my friend's apartment has a similar decoration, but much smaller (though it does play music).

The stairs aren't glass like the SoHo store, but the elevators sure are. It's kind of interesting, there's a pair of elevators that constantly go up and down the 4 floors. There is no button to request an elevator, and there are no (non-emergency) buttons inside the elevators themselves.

I'm not sure exactly what the sign was referring to, but we did have Tex-Mex downstairs (where this sign pointed). Apparently in Japan, it's customary to play country western Christmas songs in December.. also, when you order nachos, don't expect to get more than 5 or 6 chips, seriously.
