I installed the Elvin
message system Python API. Elvin provides content based routing
of structured messages.

Installation was trivial and the sample sender and receiver
worked fine using the public elvin router at elvin.dstc.edu.au

I haven't come to grips with the architecture of the
system of federated elvin servers yet. Perhaps
MHSnet
might be useful for carrying elvin messages.

I find it incredibly irritating that xmlrpc doesn't handle None
type objects from python. There doesn't seem to be anyway to pass a null object using
xmlrpc. If I change xmlrpc it then becomes incompatible with other implementations so
I suppose I have to use a special value to represent None. Grrrrr.

This is my first toe in the water of the weblog world.

The main problem I have with weblogs is that I don't know where I'll
get the time to write for it. A lot of weblogs seem have only
sporadic posts, I fear mine might go the same way....
