DSL goes away today, back to 56K.
It's not a bad thing, my wife said "I really need you to look at the vacuum...like I've said for the past three days, but you've had too much to do on the computer. ;-)"
My first (unspoken) reaction was: "Why didn't you blog it?"
...wonder how many blogs have a "Honey Do"sub-category. (For the record, my wife is very much NOT a nag. I first investigated blogging as hopes to get her to share her well spoken and insightful thoughts with the world, not just me. Some make it to her blog. She doesn't want to switch blog tool yet. Currently most of her typewritten word is well used in empathy and support to other expecting mothers.)

ZipZap review
Yesterday I learned of a $20 fix to my youthful desire for a $300+ remote control car.
Today I headed out to RadShack and got one.
Pro's: Fascinating, Fun, Easy, Quick Charge, Cost.
Con's: The 'is that a camera?' controller needs lots of work. There's going to be plenty of returns for the touchy charger hook-up and thumbnumbing controls. Only runs on flat surfaces and flat carpet. I cracked up when mine got caught up on a dust bunny on my concrete basement floor. 2 frequencies. Child test: 2 year old: No; Almost 4 year old:Almost. My overgrown kitten was intrigued yet fearful. Jeez. I need to add more pro's, I like this thing.

rant: page reloading sucks.
Arg. Accidently went "back" a page, came back and lost my text. :-( This is probably an annoyance where the best workaround is for the customer to get used to it, rather than worse affects of multiple posts or something.

VC++ going the way of MASM?
Interesting article at DDJ.
The new and other C++ guru's at MS have a noble road ahead of them in regards to standardization and mindshare. Hope this doesn't knock the wind out of their sails too much.
