Cygwin to the rescue!
After my post about curses not working under windows? Well Tam asked about Cygwin and if I had any luck with it. I did try it and at first it was no good (It was reading from my Windows installed python). I dug around and found the Cygwin install program and re-ran it and installed the Cygwin version of Python.
Now my curses stuff works fine in Windows. As long as I run it from the Cygwin prompt.
