Expirement results: This Google search now returns the weblog post from 9/19/2002, but still doesn't actually return the story itself. I'm not sure why.
It used to be that Google happily indexed my entire blog back through time. Now it doesn't.
I also wonder if cross-blog linking has decreased because of the proliferation of news aggregation tools? I.e. does the increased efficiency with which one can consume content via a good aggregator lead to a decrease in the cross-posting because it requires a greater degree of mental gear shift to go from "consuming news" to "making a post w/cross-references" mode?
