Someone says that Tori isn't that well represented in the store. Depends on perspective. She is certainly well represented in that her major works are available, but I fully agree that there is a boatload of good Tori material that is not available in the iTunes music store.

But the real reason I wanted to do a new entry because of a pontification by James that is so cool as to be highlighted:

I must educate you about BT - Blue Skies.

Blue Skies is not a remix by BT of a Tori Amos song. It is a BT song with vocals provided by Tori Amos. BT worked with her on the song "Tulula" and Tori wanted to sing on one of his albums, he had no music for her so she sand over his song Divinity.

Being the musical genius he is he edited and resampled her entire vocal track, something around a total of 5000 edits on her vocal track.

Final bit of trivia, she never said the words blue and sky(ies) next to each other on the original vocals.

I knew that it was an original track -- and didn't mean to imply otherwise. But I did not know about the other details of the track.

Ok. Wow. That's amazing. Thanks for the info!

A quick google search reveals more info but nothing that further documents BT's studio processes (which sound interesting).
