Foreign Accent Syndrome |
Polish language is present in linguistic theory:
Foreign accent syndrome (FAS), a rare disorder characterized by the emergence of new prosodic features that listeners perceive as a foreign accent, is usually due to left hemisphere lesion or dysfunction. It was first described in 1919 by Pick, who reported that his Czech-speaking patient sounded Polish after a left hemisphere
stroke.
