(It will be a miracle if this post makes it to the weblog and if the weblog remains intact. I made the mistake of moving Radio Userland again. What a lose. Early new years resolution: move off of Radio Userland -- it has cost me too many hours of sanity addressing unnecessary fragility.)

I'll be offline for a couple of weeks. Vacation time. Hope to get some hacking in (I find it relaxing). To that end, I have subversion client/server installed on my system and might tackle the whole "convert a CVS repository that uses tarwrappers to SVN" problem (CVS -> SVN already works and is a nice little python script).

In any case, I leave you with a bit of randomness to close out the year.

Some random christmas songs. I recommend the South Park tune for complete political incorrectness (South Park is Zappa reborn) and the Porky Pig tune for sheer entertainment value.

Catchy tune.

The Kwanzaa Holiday Music Station in iTunes Radio is awesome. If the link doesn't work, launch iTunes -> click Radio -> click Holiday music -> double-click Kwanzaa. They play a lot o Olatunde -- I saw him live in NYC-- and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Occasional African Head Charge and early Jackson 5 thrown in. Brilliant.

Bud Light Presents.

Sign hacking. Ooops. Clearly, city planners need to hire a few more drunken young 'uns to beta test the designs.

A huge collection of technically oriented photos. Huge. Neat stuff within. And architecture, too!.

Ebay silliness.

Political commentary through labeling things as eyesores.

Science toys to make at home.

Maddox is very angry. But he is also often very right. Sometimes I wish I still felt free to rant without worrying about offending anyone.

Rick Santorum is a putz. I have mentioned Mr. Santorum's antics in the past. Dan Savage took it upon himself to have Santorum associated with something less than complimentary. Nasty stuff, but if ever there was a political figure that deserved such treatment, Mr. Santorum is the one.

Advanced Programming in the Mac OS X Environment contains a tremendous wealth of information.

Many of the hacks on Sweet Code baffle me. I consider that to be a feature. On the other hand, the collection of OpenGL tutorials at NeHe are straightforward and elegant. They are also a good way to compare different programming environments and platforms in how each leverages the OpenGL APIs.

Found randomness is often interesting.

Art, science, and industrial oddities abound at this site. It has been around a while and continues to grow as the brilliant mind behind it jots stuff down for posterity's sake.

If you want to know anything about the chaos and confusion that drives the television market (and the HDTV rollout, in particular), Mark's Monday Memo is indispensable.

Have a good holiday, all!
