Avoiding Cult of Personality
Why I avoid a loud (as in power, voice, or popularity) presence. I find this closed-fist "sattire" to be a grand example of another disappointment of cult of personalities: when they collide.
When the cult of personality speaks, if it's worth anything, it will be percolated through the mass channels. If it's loud enough it will also ventilate. I have no need to subscribe to Dave Winer or Mark Pilgrim, as neither blog enough about the topics I care about, and by reading more than 20 blogs I'll hear what's what.
