Python Community Server (development progress)
A weblog about programming in Python, C#, Java, Perl and C++ - and the occasional comment on PyCS development

Friday, 10 May 2002

It's been a while since the last one.  The new feature of the day is:

RSS feeds for comments!

This is still evolving.  Eventually you should be able to subscribe to the XML feed for a blog and get all the comments automatically, but for the moment you have to subscribe to each comment thread, which isn't optimal as a popular blog will have hundreds of posts and a feed for each one, and the feeds will only be useful for a few days.

Feel free to experiment with this and see what you can do with it.  Note that it will only work for comments on valid users' blogs, so you'll have to change your community server to PyCS if you want to set up a blog with comments to test it out with.
