Automating everything

Jarno makes some interesting conclusions regarding programmers automating everything.

Although not a topic of th articles, be wary of automating knowledge management.  Factors of convenience and soft-skill anxiety display vivid colors.  KM hits upon interpersonal issues and brings other intelligence and relationship factors into the picture.  Automate that and your defenitely encroaching on personal space, not just the common ground of coding process.  Loose fitting tools which give plenty of personal space, such as a weblog, seem to find the sweet spot.  Team or Group weblogs have a smaller chance of competing than disparate ones tied with a good search engine and aggregators.

I'm looking forward to hearing how searching by time-slices is possible within weblogs.  Currently it seems wholly topic and keyword based.
